Chennai 6000004

Mylapore.
Mylapore is the one place that brings out the essence of what Chennai used to be, or in other words, Madras.
From the filter coffee to the vegetable vendors to the Kapaleeshwar  temple to the Bharatnatyam and Carnatic music recitals and to ever famous textbook stores. It is one place that can never be replicated.
Here are a few pictures from my photowalk there before leaving Chennai, i hope you guys like them! And i promise there are many more to come. Until next time,

love
Antara.

If i saw you in heaven?
                                                        Would you feel the same,

How i started taking pictures

So I finally got myself to come here and make a second post so the first thing that came into my mind is how i got into photography.
Once upon a time on a normal lazy saturday afternoon/evening in Jan 2011, i was randomly looking through a couple of photography blogs and was randomly showing my brother a couple of pictures that I loved. Then,he just suddenly said to me,"hey, why don't you give photography a shot since you're into artsy stuff and all" and then the first thing that i told him was "we don't have a DSLR,i don't think that the pictures will turn out to be that good,we have a 4MP camera"(i totally take back my words cos that camera is AWESOME :D ) and then he told me about his friend who was also into photography and showed me her pictures. Some of them that she had taken were from her phone camera and  i was just AMAZED.Those pictures were just SO GOOD.Then the whole inspiration-thingi happened and i started taking pictures of everything that i could find and i knew that there was no going back :)
So here are a couple of pictures that I initially took, hope you like them :)

The inside of a metallic water bottle,It was one of the first pictures that i had ever taken :)
